Techno System designs and manufactures plate heat exchangers for building services and HVAC, domestic hot water modules and district heating substations in Italy. Solutions are sized to transfer energy between the heat source and the user circuit, keeping the circuits separate while balancing thermal duty and pressure drops.

Heating, cooling and circuit separation

Corrugated plate heat exchangers can be integrated into boiler or heat pump systems according to project conditions. Separation allows the two circuits to retain distinct fluids and hydraulic conditions. Sizing considers the temperatures actually available, flow rates and the properties of any glycol mixtures.

With low-temperature heat sources, it is particularly useful to define the temperatures required by the user circuit and the temperature differences available for heat transfer. Heat transfer area, flow rates and pressure drops must be assessed together with controls and pumping energy.

Domestic hot water and district heating

DHW modules are selected according to draw-off profile, simultaneous demand, recirculation and heat source. MDA is intended for systems with storage; MDI produces DHW without storage. The choice depends on demand and the overall plant configuration.

For network connections, wall-mounted or floor-standing district heating substations and interface heat exchangers are available. Selection starts with primary network and user circuit data, including temperatures, pressures and control requirements.

Project data, installation and maintenance

Provide the required duty, inlet and outlet temperatures, flow rates, fluids, pressures and allowable pressure drops for both circuits. Include dimensions, connections, accessibility and usage profile. For DHW, add peak demand and storage and recirculation data.

Technical services include sizing, design and installation support. Customised and unbranded versions are possible for OEM customers. Space for inspection and maintenance must be allowed for in the design, following the selected model's instructions.

Can the exchanger be used with a boiler or heat pump?
Yes, subject to verification of available temperatures, flow rates and duty under actual operating conditions.

Why separate the circuits?

Is the required duty enough to size an exchanger?
No. Temperatures, fluids, flow rates and pressure drops are also needed: the same duty can require different configurations.
