Applications and process fluids

Applications include hydraulic and turbine oil cooling, heat transfer in food processes, heat recovery in combined heat and power plants, and seawater cooling. Each configuration is assessed against actual process conditions, including load variations and the chemical characteristics of the fluid.

Plates, materials and configuration

The range includes corrugated plate heat exchangers, stainless steel frame versions and smooth plate heat exchangers. Flow passage geometry, plate materials and gaskets are selected according to viscosity, any particles present, chemical compatibility, temperatures and allowable pressure drops. Frame material must be considered separately from the materials of components in contact with the fluid.

For heat recovery projects, temperatures, flow rates and the simultaneous availability of the heat source and demand must be assessed. Recoverable heat output depends on these data and integration into the plant.

Sizing, testing and maintenance

To request a selection, provide the composition and properties of both fluids, inlet and outlet temperatures, flow rates or required duty, operating pressures and available pressure drops. Include operating hours, space constraints and the planned cleaning method.

Techno System technical services include thermal calculations, design, installation support and assistance. Any test facility checks are agreed for the project. An openable design provides access to the plates for inspection and maintenance in accordance with the model's instructions.

Which materials should be selected?
