There is no definite time, it depends a lot on two main factors:

1. Operating conditions – if we work close to the maximum design temperatures and pressures there is a faster deterioration, as well as for repeated cycles of temperature and pressure.
2. The number of times the plate pack is opened and closed: if for various reasons they are opened and closed repeatedly for example to clean the plates, there will be faster deterioration.

There is no need to determine the clamping force but the internal / internal clamping dimension of the frame drums. This dimension is indicated in the manual supplied with the exchanger and can nevertheless be requested from our technical support. Therefore, no torque wrenches or special equipment are required.

If we talk about inspectable exchangers the standard is +150° C and 16 bar but this can reach +180° C and 25 bar in special cases. However, maximum temperatures and pressures cannot exist at the same time.

The ministerial guidelines indicate the first measure to be adopted is thermal disinfection of pipes. It is in fact proven that at 70 ° C the bacteria is instantly killed but already at 60° C excellent results can be obtained.

Regarding our production of inspectable exchangers delivery varies depending on the size:
for exchangers up to and including DN-65 we have been producing for a few years according to Lean Manufacturing (the Toyota way), this allows us to have fast deliveries within a few days but above all certain.
For exchangers up to DN-100 and upwards deliveries are approximately a few weeks for standard products.

The PED Directive 2014/68/UE, implemented in Italy with Legislative Decree no. 26 of the 15/02/2016, defines 4 categories of danger plus one of exclusion. These categories are defined by specific tables based on the type of fluid, the vapor pressure calculated at the maximum temperature and of the product pressure x volume. When an exchanger falls into one of the four aforementioned categories (I, II, III, IV) it must bear the CE marking , otherwise it falls within the exclusions defined by article 4 paragraph 3 and does not need to bear CE marking.
