Techno System in Palermo on 14 November at the ninth ESGLI MEETING to discuss thermal disinfection of Legionella

Techno System was in Palermo on 14 November at the ninth ESGLI MEETING promoted by ESCMID Study group for legionella infections, European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.

The aim of the conference is innovative research, diagnosis and control of legionellosis.

During the event, the latest scientific research, technological innovations and best practices for controlling and managing Legionnaires’ disease will be presented, considering both global challenges and the most effective solutions.

Techno System was in Palermo with AOU Careggi, the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, to talk about innovative tools for controlling and keeping Legionella under control. The successful trial carried out at a Careggi facility with the Techno System MDI module will therefore be presented.

What are the characteristics of the module?  It produces domestic hot water and programmes thermal shock cycles. It is a class 1 medical device for health prevention, recognised by the Ministry of Health. At a temperature of 60 degrees and above, Legionella bacteria die without the need for chemicals, only through thermal disinfection. This solution is therefore effective and efficient, also allowing for energy savings and reduced consumption of various products.  All information about the conference can be found here: https://www.esglimeeting.org/.
